A tone of resignation

Years ago in St. Paul there was the 34 line. It went from Midway Center, through Hamline University and down Minnehaha Ave on its way to downtown. It passed a seniors hi-rise on Hamline and Minnehaha and another on Victoria and Minnehaha. It was a very lightly traveled route, so most of the riders were old people. Stop!

Some lady who is with her little girl all the time both have hair ratted-up like they just got outta bed. They were rideing the 6 line and the mother kept screaming at the kid. Yelling at the top of her lungs “stop!” to her child. The bus driver finally couldn’t take it no more and told her to be quiet because every time she screams “stop!” He thinks some one wants off the bus and ends up jamming on the brakes. The lady then took the bus drivers name and said she was going to report him. She didn’t like the idea of the bus driver being able to tell her she couldn’t scream at her child while riding the bus.


The Bitch Stare

I am a bus driver of 15 years, I would like to know one thing. When I greet each person that steps on the bus , Why can’t I get a simple response? I get the bitch stare instead. Broken Glass Theory

It’s not actually a bus story, but rather the comments on the bus stops. Everybody knows now the “broken glass” theory, and it is completely relevant in relations to the cleanliness of the bus stops.
