Russian book

I was riding the #6 back from a movie at the U during the summer of 2007, and to pass the time, I was reading a mystery, “The White Bulldog” by Boris Akunin, a Russian author. (I was reading it in English translation.) Continue reading ‘Russian book’

The Devil and his devoured book

I have been looking for an outlet to this story for quite some time. I work in Nordeast so I typically ride the 6 downtown then transfer to the 10 or i just ride the 17W. This particular day I was riding the 10. After crossing the bridge on Hennepin, a man entered the bus. I was reading so i didn’t pay much mind to him. Check the destination

I drive the 722 all day. People don’t realize that when I am done with my shift I change route to the 604. So in the evening they do not read the destination sign on the bus. When they ask where I go I tell them down basslake rd. They hop on the bus and as soon as I get to highway 81 they come up to the front of the bus and ask me if I go to the starlite center, brooklyn blvd. This is an everyday occurance, I might as well talk on the mic so they do not waste a trip to ask me. Sometimes I wish I had a profession as tour guide for the twincities. I would not need a second job.

As we board the bus, he proceeds to tell me that he has written a love note to his fiancee, and he is unsure whether he should give it to her or not. Continue reading ‘Proofread my love letter’
