A true romantic?
So the details on this story are a bit fuzzy since I didn’t discover bus tales till today, but a while back on my bus ride home from downtown, an older gentleman in a wheelchair boarded the bus. Almost immediately he struck up a conversation with a college-aged girl and soon he was saying that he wished he was younger because he really felt they had a connection. The next bus might not be free
Today Metro Transit was offering free rides on all the new “Go Greener” Hybrid buses, running on the 17 and 18 lines. I knew about the promotion, but many people didn’t, so the driver on my first trip of the day was saying things like “Free ride today on this bus” as people got on. I’m listening honey
I was sitting in the front of the bus directly across from this older couple, easily in their 70’s. The man was wearing a worn out red baseball cap pretty low and it cast a shadow on his face. Too old for me
So I’m on the loooong bus ride from my job in downtown St. Paul to meet some friends at a bar in Uptown. I’m in the very back row. We’ve just crossed the river when a pretty good-looking man gets on and sits down on those sideways-facing seats in the back. I’ll admit, I’m enjoying looking at him, but he looks like he’s a good 10 or 15 years older than me (I’m 23) so I’m not really interested. Continue reading ‘Too old for me’
