I had just gotten on the bus at 7:24am at Como & 15th- heading toward St. Paul. As we pulled up to the corner of 19th & Como, the driver lets on the 2 people waiting, then gets up goes into Joe’s Market. Who’s got the keys to the bus?
This happened about fifteen years ago to a driver named Chuck. He was making his last trip of the night, from Hennipen and Lagoon to Selby and Snelling. This was back in the days of paper transfers, when the driver would tear a transfer off a book mounted in the transfer cutter. The transfer cutter had a small metal box attached which was unimaginatively called the cutter box.
