Late one night I was riding the 54 in downtown Saint Paul. It was the usual crowd riding the bus, workaholics & homeless people. After a few blocks I noticed a rancid smell, almost like vomit. Thunderous belch
It was raining this morning so instead of biking I decided to hop on the 6 to get downtown. It wasn’t too packed and I was able to snag a two-seater all to myself. About 5 minutes went by before I heard what sounded like someone ripped the vinyl seat cushion in half. Maybe that mixed with thunder. Twenties, tens, and fives
Right before my stop we were sitting at a red light. There was a homeless person on the corner [as is usually the case in minneapolis], whom she waved over. With a smile, she handed him a free transfer and we went on our way. I thought it was a very nice gesture. Coming home from my brother’s late one night this past winter, I hopped on the 21 to Uptown. About two stops into my ride, a man got on and sat next to me on an otherwise empty bus.
