Trashy revenge

This is more of a waiting for the bus stop story. It happened at the 16/50/21 stop in Midway going to Minneapolis–Albert St, I think. I was reading, waiting for the 50 going to Mpls. This guy pulls his hand out of his pocket and his transfer falls on the ground. I tell him and he said he needed a new one anyway and he left it on the ground. Driver or Fire Fighter?

On my way to work this morning, my bus pulled up to the stop on Grant and Nicollet. Almost immediately, I began smelling something burning, kind of like a campfire. Garbage in the metro

A couple months ago, I had a good laugh on the 62. We were cruising down Rice Street and then had a stop and a red light at Rice and Maryland. I was spacing out and staring out the window when I saw the funniest car of my life. It was a little blue early-90s Geo Metro. The funny part was that it was filled floor to ceiling with garbage: pop cans, paper, pizza boxes, Doritos bags, everything but the kitchen sink. Continue reading ‘Garbage in the metro’


Broken Glass Theory

It’s not actually a bus story, but rather the comments on the bus stops. Everybody knows now the “broken glass” theory, and it is completely relevant in relations to the cleanliness of the bus stops.
