Punk In A Vest
We are in the throes of summer. The weather has been all over the place… inconsistent in its emotions, much like me. Humid and unbearable one week… Warm breezes, beautiful and tolerable the next… spliced with intermittent rain showers. Needless to say, I’ve been trying to make the most out of [...]
Common sense is not common
Gotta love teenage drama in today’s society. I’m on the bus (only customer on) and chatting with the driver when the bus pulls up to West 7th St & Grand Ave. Two teenage “young ladies” get on and their in the middle of arguing with each other. So we go from a nice quiet ride [...]
What were you drinking?
On the 21 the other day, an old Native American man without any teeth stumbles on the bus, falling over and tripping over every one.
I’ll give you one of my teeth
Being i had no other way to get to work, i called the public bus company and asked where i wait for the bus, what time, and what bus number. they told me to wait on colorado blvd. and 11th Ave. stupid me . . . i went there, but i was waiting [...]

For Madmen Only
The 74 bus pulled up to the curb and opened its doors in welcome. A few steps took me inside to the warmth and familiarity of the same short trip, made many days at the same hour to pick up my kids at school. I paid my fare with a plastic card and took my [...]
Drivers think you’re a jerk
This happened at Snelling Garage about fifteen years ago. Each garage has several dispatchers who assign the buses to the drivers and make sure that the work gets covered when a driver gets sick, oversleeps or doesn’t make it to work for whatever reason.
Cell phone sin
My question is less a tale to tell and more a question to pose for busriders. What, if any, are the “bus cell phone rules?”
I’m guessing most of us have encountered a loud bus cellphone talker at some point. The person who blabs on and on in what seems to be an unnecessarily loud voice. [...]
She was a toucher!
The 4 was pretty crowded when I got on in downtown and I was forced to stand until we were well into uptown. When I finally got to sit, it was next to a rather attractive woman that lives down the street from me. This, of course, freaked me out and I was [...]
