Twenties, tens, and fives
Right before my stop we were sitting at a red light. There was a homeless person on the corner [as is usually the case in minneapolis], whom she waved over. With a smile, she handed him a free transfer and we went on our way. I thought it was a very nice gesture. When we got to the stop where i was going to get off to wait for the six, the same guy walked up, with a friend. Thank God for College Students
College students are the next great hope of the world. I was taking the 84 two weeks ago and this elderly lady was begging for change on the bus. She would wish you a Happy New Year and then ask for some money to eat. I didn’t have any change on me but politely said I didn’t and wished her well. She moved to another area of the bus. The 84 runs between the colleges in St Paul she eventually came upon some nice college students who gave her some change. They were kind, respectful and cheerful about the whole encounter.
