Last night on the bus I stood in my favorite spot and posted up for the four stops home. Some guy comes in and stands directly in front of me, crowding my space. Prison Visit
Years ago, before the routes is St. Paul were all renumbered, there was the 12 line, Rice-East 6th Street. It had limited service all the way to Stillwater. On Sunday this was great work. The work I did pulled out at 10:16AM to Hamline and Hoyt. From there it went to Stillwater, where there was a 51 minute break by the St. Croix river. Nice. The bus went back to Hamline and Hoyt and then back to Stillwater for a one hour break. This was really nice. On the trip back to St. Paul the bus went to Stillwater Prison and picked up the prisoners’ visitors. Continue reading ‘Prison Visit’
The round red imprint
Today (4/20) on the bus, a guy got on and refused to pay the fare. He must be a local bum/derelict/loafer/drunk known for doing this repeatedly, because the bus driver recognized him right away and said, “You don’t pay — you don’t get on. If you’re not paying, you cannot ride.” The bum/loafer/etc completely ignored him, and marched to the very back of the bus, and plunked down in the very back seat.
