A coworker of mine drives from Coon Rapids to Bloomington, she asked me what the bus fares were going up to. I explained it to her, I explained to her that (what is it, $2.25 now? I use a GoTo card and don't even check) will be good for 2.5 hours regardless of what direction you're going. Her eyes bugged out and she said "do you realize what a great deal that is over the cost of gas?????" I don't think that most people do realize it, but owning and maintaining and gassing up a car would make Metro Transits fares, even the raised ones, just a drop in the bucket.
