Common sense is not common
Gotta love teenage drama in today’s society. I’m on the bus (only customer on) and chatting with the driver when the bus pulls up to West 7th St & Grand Ave. Two teenage “young ladies” get on and their in the middle of arguing with each other. So we go from a nice quiet ride to this.
I didn’t catch the beginning of it but one decided to sit next to me and the other right across from me (lucky me huh?). They were screaming at each other about “selling ass and pussy” and how “I saved you from that.” Well, one of them had a child so I don’t personally think anyone did any saving. They keep going back and forth, f— this and f— that and f— you. This goes on until 5th St & Cedar St, when they got off the bus. Sounded like they were going for route 64. I told the bus driver “I feel sorry for that guy. For the shit he is going to have to put up with from these drama queens.”
It always entertains me when people argue in public places. They must not really care when you’re “airing your dirty laundry” in public. Most of them end of on the Internet, like this.
Makes me wish common sense was common. *sigh*

Nope, Kevin. Common sense is long gone. Most people don’t give it a second thought about airing every detail of their lives on their cell phone or in conversation.

I think it is more than just the public airing of personal details. It is how those details are aired. There’s a crudeness and a hostile edge to all of it, and in my opinion it is the sound of the disintegration of civil behavior we’re listening to, whether in our political “dscourse” or on the bus — or almost anywhere else here in America.
