Plenty of open seats
I was riding the 7 bus from downtown Minneapolis to the Seward neighborhood at about 4pm. The bus was only half full, so there were plenty of open rows of seats. I decided to take a seat in the front of the bus where there was plenty of room and hopefully no one to sit right next to me. As the bus was reaching the end of Washington, a large, tall, somewhat scruffy guy started to walk up the aisle from the back of the bus.
Within seconds he had passed numerous empty seats and proceeded to sit on me. As I leaned away from him and proclamed ‘Oh!’, he muttered some gibberish and slid over so he was now only sitting on my right leg. I was pretty shocked and thought ‘well maybe he’s getting off on the next stop coming up’. He didn’t get off, so I promptly moved to an empty seat away from the man who just sat on me. From that moment until I got off the bus, the guy stared intently at me only stopping when I would look at him. I have never seen him since, and I have definitely avoided taking that bus past 3pm!
