Love is on the bus

While I was going to college in downtown Minneapolis, I lived in Dinky Town and I rode the bus to school every day. There’s always interesting looking people riding but one day I noticed an albino guy at my bus stop. He was about 20 yrs old, clean and dressed nice, but his white hair and skin definitely made him stand out. I noticed a lot of people on the bus staring at him and it made me mad because I’m sure it made him feel uncomfortable. So I tried hard not to be rude and I didn’t stare, I don’t even think I made eye contact with him.

Well I ended up seeing him a couple times within a two-week period, but after that first time of seeing him I didn’t really pay too much attention to him. Then one day out of the blue, as he walked past me while getting off the bus he said “here” and handed me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. He didn’t slow down he just quickly got off the bus. I didn’t say anything because it all happened so fast and I was really confused. Then everyone around me started asking me if I knew the guy, but I really had no idea who he was. After that I never saw him on the bus again.

I don’t know why he gave me the flowers. Maybe he had a crush on me but my theory is that he bought them for a girl while he was downtown, but something happened that made him change his mind about giving them to her. So he decided to give them away, and I was just the first girl he saw.

Maybe he was just thanking you for not staring.

    Thank you for sharing.

Maybe he was from another planet composed entirely of albinos and the only way he was allowed to return to his world was to give flowers a girl who was trying hard not to be rude.
