Thank You Sister!
I believe it was 1983 or 1984. The now extinct route 52E. I was to be the last person on the bus at Oak and Washington before it took it’s right turn to head for the freeway and downtown Saint Paul. I had one leg/foot on the bus. There was an extremely large woman in front of me, on the second step. Bus driver closed the door on my leg and started to take the turn to go south on Oak. Somehow I hopped along on one leg for about ten feet. A nun, who always was in the same seat, nearest the door, yelled something to the driver. Saved my life. I’m not much of a religion guy, but thank you Sister!
