Music for everyone
Somehow my ipod decided to delete all of it’s music. Fortunately for me, on this morning’s bus ride the guy sitting to my left was blasting his headphones loud enough that I got to enjoy almost all of disc 1 of Tupac’s “All Eyez on Me.” I’m not being sarcastic, I actually enjoyed it. My only beef was that just as I was starting to get into “How do you want it” featuring K-Ci & Jojo on the chorus, he switched to the next song. I wonder what would happen if their was a shared playlist on the bus (any rider could add songs to the queue) and the music was played over the speakers?

DOT (Department of Transportation) and the FTA (Federal Transit Administration) as well as Metro Transit Policy do not allow for Electronic Sound devices to be played on the bus/train… For your safety!!! It has nothing to do with Taste in music, but also insures that the operator is not distracted by the fight over what music is playing.

If nobody is “sharing” their music, there’s usually a juicy cell phone conversation you can tune into. It’s amazing what people will say on a cell phone in a public place, and they they all predictably start with “Hello? No, I’m on the bus…”

Mr Wonderful, probably a good thing they have that policy, but still it would be interesting to see the mish-mash of music styles that bus-riders listen to.
Amy, I’ve noticed the same thing. When I answer the phone I say that, then get off in a minute or two. Other people go on to say some pretty awesome things.
Alec, I have no idea what that means.

I was listening to “Hot n’ Nasty” by Black Oak Arkansas once, and a Hooker sat down right next to me while riding the 94!
