Look but don’t touch
I always give the seat a quick scan to make sure there is nothing I wouldn’t want to sit on. One day I was going to sit in the seat directly behind the back door when I noticed some poopy looking substance smeared on the divider. I knew my knees would rub against it if I sat down so my instinct was to reach and touch it to make sure that it was an old stain. I’ve done this successfully many times in the past with paint stains or dried marker. But this time I wiped my finger right through a fresh stain. To make matters worse, before I could even think I instinctively brought my finger to my nose to see if was what I suspected. Fortunately for me and my finger, it didn’t smell like poop. But I was pretty disgusted about what I had just done and had to sit for the entire 30 minute ride with a contaminated finger.

I can’t believe anyone would touch anyting looking like poop, or anything else “icky” on a bus thses days! Those buses are rolling petry dishes! Next time you want to “touch ” something, use GLOVES!
