Backpack to the Face
Last week on my way in to work a woman walked down the aisle and as she was dodging legs and shoulders she nearly took off my head with her backpack. Lucky for me I’m skilled at avoiding backpacks but she must have hit someone a couple rows behind because I heard a pissed off grumpy voice say (warning: bad language) “Fucking disrespectful bitches, can’t walk down the aisle without hitting people with their bags.” The student then said “I’m sorry sir” to which grumpy said “You’re not fucking sorry, fucking disrespectful bitches.” He repeated this line several more times. I looked back to see if I should be scared or laughing and saw that it was an older guy in a hooded sweatshirt. I compromised with a nervous giggle.
At the next stop a bunch of U of M students got on and a guy with a backpack walked down the aisle. He had very good posture and his backpack seemed to continue in an almost perfect path down the center, touching noone. The funniest thing is that Grumpy sweatshirt guy made sure to point this out saying “You see that? He knows how to be careful…fucking disrespectful bitches.”
To the backpack-wearing bus riders: be careful when you walk down the aisle.
To the grumpy guy: chill out and take an anger management course.

One time I watched a girl get smacked in the head two times from some guy’s backpack and finally I tapped him on the shoulder and informed him what was happening. He had no idea and apologized.
Seems like this sweatshirt guy was more than a little nutso.

Maybe he wouldn’t be nutso if he hadn’t been repeatedly hit in the head by those “Fucking disrespectful bitches” backpacks.
