Take it to the hole

For some reason Metro Transit hasn’t realized that they need to add more #4 buses during rush hour. Due to that fact, the evening rush hour #4 bus is always packed, and I always end up standing toward the front of the bus. The other day I got on and, per the usual, was standing in the front. Once the bus started moving I felt a hand on my waist pushing me backwards.

As it turns out, an elderly gentleman sitting in one of the sideways-facing seats was flirting with a disinterested woman across the aisle from him, and I was ruining his sight line — so he just decided to shove me backwards instead of asking me to move or waiting for the bus distribution to thin out. Not wanting to ruin the few love connections the old rip had left in him, I allowed the shoving and wedged myself further back…mainly because I wanted to see whether he was going to take it to the hole or not.

His next move: asking a fellow bus rider for a pen so he could pass the lady his number. Class act.

I do agree with you. The 4 needs to run more frequently durning rush hour. The 4G is always late and when it eventually comes, its packed as hell!!!

They just started running the new line 141along that same corridor. It’s a limited stop between downtown and Johnson and 29th, and then local stop from there up to St. Anthony Village. It’s really quick. I love it! Hoping that will help alleviate some of the crowding on the 4 when I do have to take that line for the inbetween stops.

Wow. I hope the woman didn’t call him. It’s freaky to know the old man had no reservations to push/move a complete stranger on the bus out of his line of sight.. Scary.

I,d like to give our riders some advice, If we turn in reports of our overloads , they take it as a grain of salt, BUT! If CUSTOMERS call in to complain , They get the results! Start calling in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The 4 and the 17 should be hi-frequencies if you ask me. And would it kill them to extend the number 10 to uptown station perhaps? ;-p
