Enjoy your precious life
Some of the bus drivers can be really strange. This one older lady who drove the 16 alway gave a comment every time she let someone off the bus (examples–”have a warm peaceful relaxing evening” or “enjoy the rest of your precious life”. When we came to dr.martin luther king jr. blvd she announces “Dr. reverand martin luther king jr. blvd man of peace love and harmony. Let freedom ring!” I thought get off of it lady. I’m sure you all riders know who i’m talking about. Whats with her? Whats her story? She doesn’t fix up but looks older than she is because her hair is put up in a bun. I don’t know what number she drives now. I last saw her drivin an express bus.

She drove the 50 for a while as well and my favorite stop was by the dome: ” Now stopping at Chicago, Home of Kirby Puckett, friend to the dome. Be careful when exiting, I noticed some ice. Have a save and peaceful evening.” The best part about it: she was so pleasant to those on the bus, but laid on the horn if anyone came within eyesight of the bus. If you were a car that rolled forward at a stopsign, you were penalized with a 30 second horn blow!
I miss her….

I knew i’d get some comments on this one because once you’ve had her for a driver you won’t forget. She seems like the type of person who would be an animal rights activist or an envirenmentalist or some one who would protest for a good cause. Her comments are all nice comments but it can get to be a little sickening after a while. Just ask the Uof M students. And especially if you are riding ALL THE WAY from mpls to st.paul on 16. I’m sure the bus drivers gossip about us riders in the break room. Is this a place for us riders to gossip about the drivers? Actually She is a very excellent bus driver just kinda different.

Please provide the Driver’s employee number. It is clearly displayed on her shoulder patch.

God forbid the driver trys to make a miserable bus ride a little better. I could see complaining if the bus driver was rude but I guess now you can’t even be a pleasant person without offending someone. Have a blessed and wonderful day and thank you for reading my comment.

I just had her as a driver on the 16 last sunday. She was wearing her hair down so she looks a little different. When we came to malcom and university she announced malcom is next. Man of justice. Who’s malcom? is he famous? Are you sure she is all there? When you get off the bus she tells you to have a safe walk back to your home or where ever you are going. Actually in todays world with so many rotten things happening I don’t mind her comments. I wonder how she would handle rowdys that come on the bus? I will keep you posted and let you know if i see that situation.

This bus driver just said to me the other day when i got off ” May you be surrounded by peace,Joy and love”. How Sweet! She really is a Dear!! She also told everyone on the bus to notice the tree of shoes when we passed anderson hall. It is interesting. There’s more than just shoes on it. Once i saw a bike tire or rim hangin. I think i did see a jockstrap or a bra hangin. One pair of shoes looked just like dorothy’s ruby slippers but theyr’e not there anymore. Probably got stolen.

I actually just submitted a story about this same driver. didn’t see this one before.
She drove the 50 and eventually went into an entire rant about birth control and how the government was trying to take away our freedoms and went kind of mental over the microphone. I haven’t had her as a driver in a long time. Don’t know if she’s moved on or not.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Now that’s Funny. Her comments were kinda bold and personal. Maybe the bus company fired her.

My favorite funny bus driver story is the one where the driver got on to relieve the other driver. He had big sunglasses and a red tipped cane. He felt around and got himself situated and said “Someone tell me when the light turns green and we can get going.” Most people laughed but one guy actually dashed off the bus! What a fool.
