Pregnant and nauseous
Six years ago, I was on the 260 to Rosedale when this unfortunate event occurred. I was 10 weeks pregnant with my first and the nausea was overwhelming. I would throw-up every day precisely when I walked into my house after work. On this particular day, it hit just as we were pulling into Rosedale. Give me attention!
I got onto the bus and saw that the only seat open was next to a blind man with his seeing eye dog. I had no problem with that… I love dogs. I do know, however, that it’s probably in my best interest to leave the dog, and consequently the man, alone. However, the dog wouldn’t leave me alone. He kept nudging my leg, licking my hand, doing whatever he could to get some attention from me. I let in… and gave the dog a nice pet on the head. Continue reading ‘Give me attention!’
Goosed
It was St. Patrick’s Day, 2007, I was riding the 63 from Grand and Fairview down to the 7th street bars. We pulled over to pick up some passengers and this homeless man was obviously drunk as he struggled to even make it to the bus door. Sitting in front of me was this very proper older lady who was knitting. The drunk man got on the bus and sat in front of this woman even though the bus was practically empty. Some white rhino
i was on my way home from summer school in the summer of ’07. i took the 64 as i usually did. while on payne ave. i noticed, while listening to my music, that three black men were talking to this white man. the white guy handed one of the black men a prescription drug bottle and the guy opened it. the man pulled out a joint of marijuana and said, “damn, this some good stuff.” the white guy then replied,”yea, thats some white rhino.” [warning: bad language] Continue reading ‘Some white rhino’
