I will body slam you!
This happened a couple of years ago: this guy got on the 21 and paid for his fare entirely in pennies and nickels. It came up to 97 cents, still shy of the $1.25 that the fare was at the time. The bus driver said, “It’s fine, go sit down,” but somehow the passenger thought the bus driver was “disrespecting” him and he instigated a fight with the driver. Good old 1040
I’m a retired bus driver! After nearly 27 yrs. of driving, I do have many stories. I will not relate them now. I just want to say “WHAT A TRIP THOSE YEARS WERE” The thing I miss most about the job? The wonderful people I met. this is “GOOD OLD 1040″ saying Thanks for the memories.

Hot-Ass Bus
A couple of years ago I had a job as an English as a Second Language teacher, for adults. Part of our curriculum was to teach the students how to ride the bus. Another teacher and I had about 15 students with us, all recently-arrived Hmong refugees from Thailand. It was hot that day- well over 90 degrees, and the bus was late.
