Take it to the hole

For some reason Metro Transit hasn’t realized that they need to add more #4 buses during rush hour. Due to that fact, the evening rush hour #4 bus is always packed, and I always end up standing toward the front of the bus. The other day I got on and, per the usual, was standing in the front. In the early nineties I was a student at the U of MN, living off campus and without a car. As a result I became a bus expert. I specialized in the teens – the 17, the 19, the 16 – and sometimes even graduated to the 21. I have a million stories, but my favorite comes from the 16. I’d started working at the university and decided to take the bus to ease my commute stress, and be nice to my pocketbook and the earth at the same time. Everyone needs a break

I had just gotten on the bus at 7:24am at Como & 15th- heading toward St. Paul. As we pulled up to the corner of 19th & Como, the driver lets on the 2 people waiting, then gets up goes into Joe’s Market.
