In the early nineties I was a student at the U of MN, living off campus and without a car. As a result I became a bus expert. I specialized in the teens – the 17, the 19, the 16 - and sometimes even graduated to the 21. I have a million stories, but my favorite comes from the 16. His “Earth Angel”

I’d started working at the university and decided to take the bus to ease my commute stress, and be nice to my pocketbook and the earth at the same time. Everyone needs a break

I had just gotten on the bus at 7:24am at Como & 15th- heading toward St. Paul. As we pulled up to the corner of 19th & Como, the driver lets on the 2 people waiting, then gets up goes into Joe’s Market. I’m a comedian!

I ride the bus every day to work and I have a lot of stories. I can’t believe what some people say or do when they’re on the bus. One of my favorites is a man who was sitting on the back bench talking very loudly to the people around him. He was going on about the Bible and Jesus, and how people should treat each other better, they shouldn’ t use drugs, etc. which is nice, but I always get a little antsy when people are talking loud enough so the whole bus can hear.
