I was riding the 724 to downtown Minneapolis at about 10:30 AM. There was a couple directly behind me having a conversation. I didn’t pay much attention to what they were talking about, but the man was slurring his speech and sounded intoxicated. We got downtown, and we were between the first and second stops (stuck in traffic) when the the man got up and approached the back door. This panicked the women who started yelling at him “This isn’t where you get off! You get off at the next stop!” The man yelled for the bus driver to release the back door. By this point, I looked up from my book to see that he was holding a recently-polished-off 24oz can of malt liquor. The bus driver released the back door. The man (who still hadn’t responded to his concerned companion) pushed open the door and chucked the can out onto the sidewalk narrowly missing a pedestrian. He non chalantly sat back down and said “Woman, I know that ain’t my stop.”
