Mildred, the Church Lady, from Minnetonka took the bus every day to connect to the 12 going downtown, to go to Mass at St Olaf’s. One day she wasn’t there. Then a week weny by. I got worried, she usually never missed a day, much less a whole week. I called the local police to do a welfare check on her. Turned out, she hurt her ankle shoveling her driveway. After that, my husband and I went out to clear her driveway when we could, and to take her shopping once a month. Last year, Mildred went to a nursing home, due to health issues. We still make time to see her when we are able. She is past 90 years young. We are glad to have known Mildred, she is one of my all time favorite passengers.
