He drives the service 36, [a single deck route]. One day he is on route for his terminus which is right outside the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood, he has a full load of passengers mostly Japanese and American tourists. He reaches the terminus, so all the passengers alight. ‘Nemo’ decides he needs a cigarette so he goes outside to the fountain, lights his ciggy, leans on the barrier, the barrier collapses and ‘Nemo’ falls in. The tourists notice this and start taking photographs of him fumbling about in the water, I believe he now has legendary status in Tokyo.

Anyway he had to call off, go home and get changed.

He is probably the unluckiest driver in the depot, another time he found a police truncheon on his bus, unbeknownst to him it was a telescopic truncheon, as he was playing about with it, the truncheon extended, hitting him on the head, knocking him out. He was off work for 3 days. Rumour has it he tried to claim assault pay.
