I have been reading this site for months trying to think of something that I have seen on the bus. I can’t believe I had forgotten about this until now! I was on the old 180 with my girlfriend, the old express service that went from mpls to moa. We were sitting in the back in the seats that face each other across from a mother and her, I would say five year old son. He started tunneling up her shirt. I thought, hmm thats a bit odd. Till she pulls her shirt up and shows the world she is indeed breastfeeding her five year old son! Being Minnesota nice, everyone tried desperately to look at the scenery out the window. Luckily, they got off at lake street.

Several years ago, I was riding the 180 at 1am (this route used to serve downtown and the Mall of America, but has since been replaced by the Hiawatha Line). Heading back from the Mall of America on an articulated bus an older man, presumingly drunk, decided he had enough with Metro Transit and pulled out a pair of pink safety scissors (the plastic ones that make even paper seem strong).

He then announced to the entire bus, while holding up his pink scissors in the air, that he was planning on cutting the bus in half. He then started trying to actually cut the bus in half. Needless to say that the safety scissors couldn’t even cut through the canvas between the two halves. I couldn’t help laughing since they guy didn’t seem to realize that the two halves were actually connected by steel.

Well to make a short story even shorter, at the next stop 2 Metro Transit police came aboard and arrested him for attempting to destroy public property.
